Pro: Were schools located in the workplaces of parents, the parents and children could maintain closer relationships. As parents go to work and children to school, they could travel together.
Pro: Parents and teachers could maintain closer relationships.
Con: Few workplaces could afford to provide the resources that a traditional school does. Particular workplaces could only benefit a few students and their families, unless the schools developed to such an extent that they could compete in attracting other students. The companies that host these schools, then, would have to meet all the challenges of operating an educational institution.
Con: Were companies to admit only children of employees to the schools in the workplace, the advantages those schools afford their students would not be available to most of the population. One advantage of the existing educational system is the relative freedom it affords all citizens to access its resources.
